Hello, I'm Qiyang Liu

Illustration of transportation I am an Assistant Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Urban Planning and Design, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. I received my PhD from the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds in 2019.

My research centres on transport equity/justice and transport governance, with a focus on distinctive transport equity issues in China and underrepresented communities.

🔬 Research Interests:

  1. Transport equity and transport-related social exclusion
  2. Transport governance and policy-making
  3. Transport culture and psychology
  4. New mobility services and informal transport

I have published one English monograph (translated into German and Spanish) and over 30 SCI/SSCI papers in journals including PNAS, Nature Communications, Transport Policy, Journal of Transport Geography, and the Transportation Research series. I serve as a reviewer for 25 journals including Nature Cities, Nature Communications, Transport Policy, and Journal of Transport Geography.
